Essential Functions:

  • Assist adults with developmental disabilities in their daily lives, providing complete care in dietary, hygiene, grooming, and dressing needs.
  • Redirect behaviors through engaging activities such as walking, reading, games, math, and computer projects.
  • Outline and prepare daily routines for clients as specified in their Individual Program Plan.
  • Assist clients with bathroom needs and personal care as required.
  • Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
  • Transport clients in company vans when necessary.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid certification, CPI, and DSP 1 certification required.
  • At least 1 year of professional or personal experience in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illnesses, particularly with challenging behaviors, is strongly preferred.
  • Must possess a valid in-state driver's license, be over 21, and have a driving record with no more than 2 points in the last 3 years.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Able to work outdoors and indoors in varying weather conditions.

Successful candidates must pass all pre-employment requirements, including a background check and physical assessment.
